I am, however, taking another letterpress class, so expect more of that! I've got a bunch of things in the works - all of which will be available for sale. Those things will include a few art prints and posters, maybe some coasters, thank you cards, birthday cards, or any work YOU'D like to see! Just leave me a comment letting me know what you'd like!
My latest work at the design center has been a poster for Mizzou After Dark Mardi Gras Mayhem event.
The design center has had some really good designers who work as if producing for silk screening. I LOVE this style, and I'm trying to learn how to do it better myself. What you don't see very much is work with photos.
As a photojournalism major looking to combine photography and graphic design, it is in my best interest to design in a way that utilizes photographs. The Mardi Gras poster was my first attempt keeping that idea in mind. Behold.

Mizzou's Seismic Design Team asked us for a logo and a T shirt design. One thing I've been trying to start doing more of is use hand-drawn elements in my designs. After many failed attempts, I drew the "seismograph line" in this logo. It looks like I may have scaled it too many times... dah well. I'm just glad that I got a hand-drawn element into one of my designs.

After I made the logo, the shirts were pretty quick work.

In other news, I've been visiting this guy's site a lot. Frank Chimero is a New York-born designer who now lives and teaches in Missouri. At Missouri State in Springfield in fact! He's right on their faculty page! At the bottom, under the "per course faculty". Anyway, VERY cool stuff, and a super smart guy; be sure to check his site out.
Mmk, that's about it for now! Be sure to check out what else I have on my flickr here.
peace, love and whatnot,
